About Soteria

How We Started

Soteria Christian Center was founded by Pastor Eric Avery in June 2004. He started fulfilling his call to ministry a few years prior with a weekly bible study held in the living room of his home. Pastor Eric's vision is to build a worship complex, Christian programs, and businesses that service the needs of the local community and the body of Christ.

Vision

The vision of Soteria Christian Center is to minister to the Believer’s spiritual and physical needs. We endeavor to impact our community, our city and the world with Salvation to the glory of God:

By providing resources that support the Believer in their walk with Christ, prepares ministers to fulfill their God given calling, and encourages spiritual growth and development.
Through businesses that meet the practical and every day needs of the Believer, provide employment, promote Christian values, and establishes an environment that upholds righteous lifestyles.

Mission

"We want to share the knowledge of salvation with God's people; establish strong families and mature believers. Through the word of God, we endeavor to build people of faith, character and integrity that understand the fullness of a purpose driven life."

What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative source of Christian faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

Salvation

We believe that mankind needs salvation. We further believe that salvation is a gift received by grace through faith alone. No amount of good works will produce justification before God. (Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8)
